Nylon rope is one of the strongest of the industrial man made fibres. It was first to be introduced of the polymer based fibre ropes and the name Nylon is used in reference to all man-made fibre ropes. It is available in four colours – Black, Navy Blue, Black and Olive with a very smooth surface, made up from multifilament yarns, it has a superior strength to all the other polymer based industrial ropes and has excellent wear capabilities it is also resistant to multiple loadings. Because of this, its high stretch combined with its high strength gives it excellent resistance to shock loading.
This rope absorbs water and sinks, it is prone to attack by acids but is resistant to most alkalis and tends to shrink with age.

Twisted Nylon is a synthetic rope that took the place of manila in many applications. Nylon is the highest strength, stretch and shock absorbency of any synthetic rope. Our twisted nylon is made in China and is steam heat set prior to twisting to help reduce the risk of shrinkage in the field. Twisted nylon is also very resistant to abrasion. Unlike most other rope types, it elasticity allows it to be able to absorb an initial shock load and return to form. It holds up to the wind and weather very well and can be stored wet, it will not rot. Twisted nylon is a very popular choice of contractors for a variety of applications. It is very pliable rope that can be easily spliced together.
Florescence Nylon is the strongest synthetic material commonly used for DIY ropes. Nylon is also best for absorbing shock loads, so its ideally suited for hauling, lifting and towing. Its elasticity allows it to absorb shock and the rope very close to its original length after being stretched. It’s very durable and has excellent abrasion resistance. Twisted construction is a good,economical option over the other constructions. Do not use for overhead lifting.
